Colorado Epic Pass Information

Finally a Colorado season ski pass for everyone!

Finally there is a season pass that fits the bill for everyone! Vail resorts recently announced the EPIC PASS for unlimited and unrestricted skiing and riding at Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail, and Beaver Creek. No blackout dates, no restrictions and we;ll save the best part for last. Read on...

We all know that lift ticket prices are downright rediculous. In recent years, Vail Resorts has been reeling in thier lift ticket sales and declining new contracts for discount vendors. This year they finally pulled the plug on many grocery stores in Colorado, which effective makes them the only channel to obtain lift tickets. This is very unfortunate for skiers who love to ski the most popular resorts in Colorado.

In an effort to gain more locals, Vail Resorts has been a major player in promoting early season deals such as restricted season passes, 4 packs, and other creative packages. The main catch, however has always been that they require that the person buy the season pass or 4 pack in person during a narrow gap of time each spring and each fall, before the ski season begins in Colorado. The unfortunate part about this is that people planning ski trips from out of state would have to travel to Colorado in order to obtain a season pass, then come back during the ski season to enjoy the use of it.

How the Epic Pass is different: The Epic Pass allows people to buy it anytime until November 15th, 2008. It is good for the 2008-2009 ski season only. As said before, it is unlimited and unrestricted at all Vail Resorts owned areas such as Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek. The one "non-catch" is that this is an Internet only purchase and you do not have to be present to buy it. In fact, they allow you to upload your picture. THIS MEANS THAT THIS PASS IS WIDE OPEN FOR ALL PEOPLE COMING FROM OUT-OF-STATE TO FINALLY GET IN ON DISCOUNTED SEASON PASSES.

Epic Pass Details:

  • Unrestricted - no blackout dates for any of the 2008-2009 ski season.
  • Unlimited skiing and riding - no limitations on the number of days at any area
  • Works for Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek. (Heavenly too - but tha tis not in Colorado)
  • $579 for Adults
  • $279 for Kids 5-12
  • Available ONLY until November 15th, 2008. After that - you're stuck with retail lift ticket window pricing

The Epic Pass is perfect for people wanting to ski multiple areas. Ideally, it is suited for people who plan on skiing 7 days or more. If you plan to ski less, the traditional restricted season pass or 4 pack may be a better deal, but you are then stuck with having to buy your pass in person.

More information and details are at EpicPass.com, which is owned and operated by Vail Resorts, Inc. Buy it online today for only $49 down. The balance will be charged later in the fall of 2008.
