As a new owner/renter to the Keystone area I was very skeptical of all property management and scrutinized contracts to detail. What I was looking for was someone whom I could trust to take care of my property while still respecting me as an owner and looking out for my best interests. I won’t deny that SummitCove’s lower percentage of cost to my pocketbook wasn’t a factor, but I also took into account that I was able to think of this property as my property. Unlike some other management companies, I could keep my own keys, I could choose my own dining set and cook wear sets, and I was free to change my furniture as long as the minimum standards were maintained. Also, I didn’t needed to submit in writing when I wanted to use MY OWN property in an absurd number of weeks prior to usage and worry that renters would have a better chance of using my property than I would. SummitCove’s easy to understand and easy to use “Owner’s Management Website” allowed me the freedom to check on my property and plan my own vacation time days, weeks, and months in advance. One of the most impressive attributes of SummitCove is the personal touch of working with Peter and his staff. I always feel like I am talking with people who understand what they are doing and are intimately involved in the company. It is discouraging to work with companies who are readily able to disregard emails or happily put on hold an owner of one of the properties they manage. I have never received such treatment while working with SummitCove. As a United States Marine I don’t enjoy the flexibility of a predictable schedule. Since buying my property months ago, I haven’t been in the US more than a month and a half. During my upcoming deployment to Iraq in March 07, I know that while I am away, SummitCove will take care of my property not only to ensure that I benefit as much as possible from the vacation renters, but also that the property will be properly maintained and looked after while I am readily unavailable and available for my family to use while I am away. I am also comforted in that fact that if I can ever get access to the internet, I will be able to check my properties progress on SummitCove’s management website.
