Loveland Ski Area

Loveland Basin is the unspoken gem of all the ski areas of colorado. This is the closest ski area to the Denver! It is just 17.5 miles from Keystone, and offers some of the most exciting terrain. The summit of Loveland basin is 13,010 ft! Loveland has 1,800 skiable acres and 100 hikeable acres. There are 94 trails with a vertical drop of 2,210 ft. Loveland is located right near the quaint town of Georgetown, Colorado. Loveland Ski area is known for their FREE cat rides along the Continental Divide! Take the cat up the entire ridgeline and ride the powder down extreme or most difficult terrain. Enjoy cliffs and steeps, open, ungroomed trails. Riders also enjoy free parking while visiting Loveland. Loveland is close enough to Summit County that you can enjoy a day of riding, and come back to Keystone in time for dinner.

Loveland offers many affordable pass options and they tend to be a fraction of the price of the surrounding ski areas. Bringing along the kids for a day of fun on the mountain? Loveland Ski Area offers many ski lesson packages for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. You will also find that their lesson pricing is far more affordable than most of the bigger ski resorts. They also offer child day care. Choose from a full day package, half day package, or pay hourly. Most of Loveland’s child care packages often come with a snack or two for your little ones, making it an even better deal Loveland is known for their action-packed events schedule. Come to Loveland, and bring the kids around Christmas time and they will get to meet Santa! Loveland is usually open until the beginning of May, depending on conditions.
