Keystone Closing Weekend Festivities!

Keystone Closing Day is this Sunday, April 12! There are just a few more days to get out and enjoy the snow and spring skiing conditions!

As the weather warms and the snow starts to melts, Keystone will host its annual Slush Cup to close out the season. This slushy tradition brings the skilled and unskilled alike to the base of Dercum at Mountain House to compete in a wet and wild competition.

This year children ages 6 to 13 are also welcome to compete at a smaller, low-impact pond, while ages 14 to 17 are welcome to choose either competition. The entry fee for ages 14 and over is $30 per person while the entry fee for ages 6 to 13 is free. Online registration is available at Eventbrite.com and same-day registration is available from 8:30am to 10:00am on Sunday. Winners of each category, Best Costume, Best Overall and Best Crash, will all receive Summit Passes for the 2015 - 2016 Ski Season!

The lifts at Keystone will be running their normal hours: 9:00am to 4:00pm, but you won't want to miss the Slush Cup! Prizes and giveaways are available for the crowd throughout the day and the events are free to spectators and a blast to watch. Live music from the Beloved Invaders will be happening at the Last Lift Bar following the Slush Cup.  So, grab a beer, don some sunscreen and enjoy the festivities and last day of the season!
