River Run Village

River Run Village is the main heart of Keystone Resort. Surrounded by plentiful lodging, retail shops and many restaurants, it is an easy walk to the ski slopes and gondola from anywhere in River Run Village. River Run is right in the center of it all, the heart of Keystone - it is the main base area of Keystone with shops, restaurants, activities and bars. A condo in River Run is a people watchers delight with views of the main village where festivals, concerts and events are held. It is the pathway from the parking lots to the lifts so everyone passes through! During the day River Run Village is alive with activity including extreme trampoline jumping for children, live bands, an outdoor fire pit that is on all the time, two different playgrounds for kids to slide, swing, run, jump and hang around and a fun hustle and bustle of skiers and riders coming and going through the village. River Run has great restaurants scattered throughout it that is sure to attract any type of folk. Kickapoo is one of our personal favorites serving high class American bar food in a laid back setting where Colorado microbrews flow like water and the wait staff are friendly. New Moon Cafe is great to stop for breakfast, lunch or happy hour. The Spoon Cafe, new this year has a full service bar and serves a mean bowl of chili. Inxpot, the home of the $3 Irish coffee can whip up any delicious coffee, tea or other sipping treat - they also make an unbelievable breakfast burrito. Zuma Roadhouse is a great family style restaurant serving steak and seafood in an upscale setting. The 9380 bar will tickle the fancy of anyone in search of a drink serving specialty margaritas, draft beers, shot skis and their famous fish bowl that requires at least 3 people to be drinking it - they also serve Mexican style food. Check out Luigi's for an italian meal. There's also Pizza On The Run where pizza, pasta, sandwiches and salad are served. If you're looking for something familiar, Starbucks and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory are also in River Run village. Night life in River Run is a real hoot. As night riding comes to and end, people start trickling into the bars to enjoy some apres skiing entertainment. Kickapoo and Parrot eyes have live music some weekends although I would say that all the bars offer a great time. If you're looking to party until the wee hours of the morning, you may have to outsource to the Snake River Saloon, The Goat, or Dos Locos in Mountain House, as River Run usually dies down around midnight. In the summer, River Run is alive with festivals like the wine festivals, beer festivals and art festivals which are terribly fun and there's nothing like going to a festival in the gorgeous backdrop of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
